still not ours, but patching anyway

Well, we knew about the first hole, in the siding.  Lee'd noticed it the first time we looked at the place.

What we didn't know was there was a 'hole' in the roof where a shingle was missing -- on a part of the roof that is all eave and not over the house itself at all.  We already knew the roof had to be replaced.

But it came as a surprise when the bank wouldn't loan us money until the 'holes' were fixed.  The seller, in this sellers' market was not interested in getting them fixed ... so, up on the roof went Lee.  He did a great job covering up the holes so that the assessor passed it for the loan :-D

Not really shingles, but good enough.

While Lee was doing that, I measured the exterior and the patios.  There is one which wraps around the back corner behind the garage to behind the house, and a smaller one outside the lower level sliding glass doors.  I also checked out the garden beds and paths (stepping stones and slates) to see what could be done to spruce them up too.
