After making half a dozen offers on increasingly expensive houses,
plus a trip to visit a vacant country church,
we've finally purchased our first house 🏠 to flip. The area is full of mid-century houses in multiple styles and sizes, built during the post-war, baby-boom years. We now own one, this lovely, mint-green 1972 split-level on Gold Mine Road. Seems auspicious, no?
(If you are mad enough to consider a church reno - try one of these).
We were lucky that our agent brought it to our attention before it hit the market. What with the pandemic and quarantine, everyone who ever longed for a first house or a new one and were still financially secure were also house-shopping.
These are the ones we didn't get

You can tell from my Pinterest boards which house we were considering when, by the 'makeovers' I pinned.
